Samsung has officially announced a new mid-range Android smartphone in Taiwan recently. Dubbed as Samsung Galaxy Core Lite, the smartphone is a new addition in the company's Galaxy series and comes with 4G LTE support. The smartphone comes in white color and is priced at NT$7,988, which is approx US$266. There is no word on whether Samsung will launch the Core Lite in other countries or not.
On the specifications front, Samsung Galaxy Core Lite comes with a 4.7-inch WVGA display, 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB RAM and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. The smartphone is 9.85mm thick.
Other specifications include an 5MP rear camera with LED flash, no front facing camera, 8GB internal storage with expandable up to 64GB using microSD card and 2,000 mAh battery. Connectivity series include 4G LTE support / 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, WiFi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and NFC support.
