HTC Desire 616 with 5-inch display, octa-core processor, 8MP camera officially announced
Back in March, first live images of HTC Desire 616 hit the interweb. Now, after so many months, HTC has finally took the wraps off the smartphone officially. HTC Desire 616 went on sale in China last month and now HTC has officially revealed that the smartphone will be available in North America, South Asia and Russia starting today.
HTC Desire 616 comes in Grey and White colours and is priced at S$298, which is approx. Rs. 14,300. According to The Next Web, HTC won't release the Desire 616 outside Asia for now. There is no word on the India launch yet.
Talking about the specifications, HTC Desire 616 comes with a 5-inch HD IPS display, 1.4GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor, Mali 450-MP4 GPU, 1GB RAM and Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with HTC Sense 5.5 on top. The smartphone is 9.15mm thick and weights 150 grams.
Other specifications include an 8MP rear camera with LED flash, 2MP front facing camera, 4GB internal storage with expandable upto 32GB using microSD card and 2,000 mAh battery. Connectivity series inlude 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and A-GPS.
