Obi Mobiles has officially launched its first smartphone in the Indian market on Thursday. The company is headed by former Apple CEO John Sculley. Dubbed as Obi Octopus S520, the smartphone comes with mid-range specs and is now available from online retailer Snapdeal. The Octopus S520 comes in white colour and is priced at Rs. 11,990.
According to Obi Mobiles, there are 95 service centres available across the country for after sales support. The company is providing a free flip cover and a scratch guard along with the smartphone. You can view the list of service centres here.
Talking about the specifications, Obi Octopus S520 comes with a 5-inch HD IPS display, 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor, 1GB RAM and Android 4.4 KitKat. The smartphone comes with dual-SIM support and is 8.4mm thick.
Other specifications include an 8MP rear camera with LED flash, 2MP front facing camera, 8GB internal storage with upto 32GB expandable using microSD card and 1,800 mAh battery. Connectivity series include 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.
