Along with Xiaomi Mi3, the Apple of China has also launched two more smartphone in the Indian market today, which comes with great specs and aggressive price tag. As reported, Xiaomi has officially launched the Xiaomi Redmi 1S and Redmi Note in India today. Similar to Mi3, both the Redmi series smartphones will be available in India exclusively via Flipkart.
Xiaomi has priced the Redmi 1S in India at just Rs. 6,999, whereas the Redmi Note costs just Rs. 9,999. According to Xiaomi, the Redmi 1S will be available in India early next month and the Redmi Note in late-August. The time frame is not yet fixed and is subject to change.
Xiaomi phones in China does not comes with support for Google apps, but Xiaomi has included them in the Indian models.
On the specifications front, Xiaomi Redmi 1S comes with a 4.7-inch HD IPS display, 1.6GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 (MSM8228) processor, Adreno 305 GPU, 1GB RAM and MIUI v5 based on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. The smartphone comes with dual-SIM support and is 9.9mm thick.
Other specifications include an 8MP rear camera with LED flash, 1.6MP front facing camera, 8GB internal storage with upto 64GB expandable using microSD card and 2,000 mAh battery. Connectivity series include 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and A-GPS + GLONASS.
On the other hand, the Xiaomi Redmi Note comes with a 5.5-inch HD IPS display, 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor, Mali-450 GPU, 2GB RAM and MIUI v5 based on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The smartphone comes with dual-SIM support, and is 9.45mm thick and weights 199 grams.
Other specifications include an 13MP rear camera with LED flash, 5MP front facing camera, 8GB internal storage with upto 32GB expandable using microSD card and 3,100 mAh battery. Connectivity series include 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and A-GPS + GLONASS.
