Xiaomi earlier today at an press event in New Delhi has officially announced its arrival in the country. The Chinese manufacturer also referred as Apple of China has launched its first smartphone, the Xiaomi Mi3 in India. The smartphone was originally launched in India few days ago, but Xiaomi has today again launched the smartphone in the country with revised price.
The Xiaomi Mi3 was first priced at Rs. 14,999, but now the smartphone will sell for just Rs. 13,999. As expected, the company has partnered with India's biggest e-retailer Flipkart to sell its smartphones exclusively in the country.
According to Xiaomi, the Mi3 is available for pre-order on Flipkart from July 15th to July 21st. Starting July 22nd, only customers who have pre-booked the device would be able to purchase the smartphone. Xiaomi also plans on launching the Mi3 flip case and Mi3 screen protector in India soon.
Talking about the specifications, Xiaomi Mi3 comes with a 5.0-inch Full HD IPS display with 441 ppi pixel density, 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 (MSM8974AB) processor, Adreno 330 GPU, 2GB RAM and MIUI V5 based on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. The smartphone is 8.1mm thick and weights grams.
Other specifications include an 13MP rear camera with LED flash, 2MP front facing camera, 16GB fixed internal storage and 3,050 mAh battery. Connectivity series include 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, WiFi-Direct, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and A-GPS. It has to be noted that Xiaomi phones in China does not comes with support for Google apps, but Xiaomi has included them in the Indian models.
