The renowned China based vendor referred to as ‘Apple of China’, Xiaomi established its footprints in India with the launch of its yesteryear flagship model Xiaomi Mi3 for Rs. 14,999. Today, launch details of the upcoming flagship smartphone have hit the web as Xiaomi’s President Lin Bin has confirmed that the official announcement of the device will take place on July 22th via Weibo.
According to a teaser shared by the company executive, a large number ‘4’ is featured on a brushed metal background. Also, there is a tag line on the teaser reading ‘The journey of a piece of steel metal.’ This hints that the forthcoming flagship smartphone – the Xiaomi Mi4 will feature a metallic build.
This adheres to the earlier rumors as the leaked live images showed the Mi4 clad in a metallic build. It was also announced that the firm will come up with LTE connectivity supporting devices and the Mi4 could also join the lineup.
Going by the earlier speculations, the Xiaomi Mi4 will arrive with a 5.2-inch Full HD display and 3GB of RAM. It remains unclear if the device will incorporate a Nvidia Tegra K1 or Snapdragon 801 or Snapdragon 805 chipset, but it is likely to run on Android 4.4.2 KitKat and feature a 13MP primary snapper.
