XOLO to launch an octa-core powered smartphone featuring its own Hive UI in Mid-July

XOLO is one of the India based smartphone makers that is known for its solid offerings. The vendor was in the headlines few days back for the launch of its first ever Windows Phone 8.1 based handset – XOLO Win Q900s. Meantime, it is suggested that the firm is planning to announce its upcoming flagship phone along with a brand new UI.

According to a GSMArena report, an insider familiar with the company’s development has sent in a screenshot of XOLO’s new UI alongside an image of its forthcoming flagship smartphone. It is claimed that this Hive UI will debut on the new device that will be launching in mid-July.

XOLO Hive UIAs for the specifications of this flagship smartphone, the device could arrive with a 5-inch HD display layered with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is said to equip an octa-core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM to render a smooth performance.

Moreover, it is claimed that the new Hive UI will provide a unique feature set and enhancements to the stock Android that will help the consumers interact and engage with the peer group of users and the developers as well. It will provide an exclusive change to suggest what features the users need on the device and to get them.

In addition to these details, it is said that the new ROM will be based on Android 4.4 KitKat OS and feature new set of icons, newly designed control panel, dedicated media console and graphical enhancements. XOLO appears to be working closely with the designers to create exclusive themes for the XOLO Hive and it will also open a new store for uses to access and download exclusive content.

With these details it can be said that indigenous smartphone maker is striving hard to compete with the global vendors that are dominant in the market. Anyways, we need to wait to know what XOLO will have to roll out its sleeves soon.
