15,000 units of Xiaomi Mi3 sold out in just 2 seconds, 20,000 units available for August 12th sale
Xiaomi does it again. The Chinese smartphone vendor has sold out 20,000 units of the Mi3 in the country in just 2 seconds on August 5th. The Mi3 first went on sale in India on July 22nd and it took 40 minutes to go out of stock. The next sale was on July 29th where 10,000 units were available and it took only 5 seconds to get out of stock.
The upcoming sale is scheduled on August 12th and Xiaomi will be putting 20,000 units of Mi3 for sale. Xiaomi and Flipkart had revealed that more than 150,000 users registered for the August 5th sale.
Those who are thinking how can a person purchase a device in just 2 secs, then here's how Xiaomi calculated the timing. After the countdown ended, the time taken by users to put the Mi3 into the cart rather than purchasing it, is the time Xiaomi counts. After adding the phone in the cart users got a lot of time to complete the purchase .
The next sale is on August 12th at 2PM. Those who have registered already do crosscheck the Flipkart Mi3 page again for the confirmation, if not then register yourself again, as it is mandatory. Flipkart has revealed that upto 20,000 units of Mi3 will be available for sale on August 12th and that over 100,000 users have registered for the sale.
If you are unaware, Xiaomi Mi3 comes with a 5.0-inch Full HD IPS display, 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 (MSM8974AB) processor, Adreno 330 GPU, 2GB RAM and MIUI V5 based on Android 4.4.2 KitKat. The smartphone is 8.1mm thick and weights 145 grams.
Other specifications include an 13MP rear camera with LED flash, 2MP front facing camera, 16GB fixed internal storage and 3,050 mAh battery. Connectivity series include 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, WiFi-Direct, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and A-GPS.
Xiaomi phones in China does not comes with support for Google apps, but Xiaomi has included them in the Indian models.
