On the eve of Independence, Indian smartphone vendor Micromax has released a new mid-range Android smartphone in the country called Micromax Canvas Knight Cameo. The Canvas Knight Cameo is the cheapest octa-core smartphone and comes in Pure Black, Black & Gold and White & Gold colours. The smartphone is now available in India from online retailer Snapdeal for just Rs. 11,530.
Micromax has stuffed the Canvas Knight Cameo with loads of software features which include Smart Alerts, Camera Widget, Gallery Collage, Quick Look and Smart Gesture. Pre-loaded apps include Cube 26, Amazon, BookMyShow, Clean Master, Games Club, Get It, Hike, Saavn, Spuul, SwiftKey, Thrill, True Caller, Yatra, Zaper and some games.
On the specifications front, Micromax Canvas Knight Cameo comes with a 4.7-inch HD IPS display, 1.4GHz TRU Octa-core MediaTek MT6592M processor, 1GB RAM and Android 4.4.2 KitKat.
Other specifications include an 8MP rear camera with LED flash, 5MP front facing camera, 8GB internal storage with upto 32GB expandable using microSD card and 2,000 mAh battery. Connectivity series include 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.
