Motorola Moto X to get Android L update, confirms Motorola's VP Punit Soni
Google showcased the Android L, the next iteration of Android at the Google I/O 2014 event earlier this year in June. Since the announcement of Android L, it has been confirmed that the Google’s Nexus lineup will receive the next iteration soon after its commercial release. Following the same, Moto X is also added to that list and it will definitely get the Android L update.
In response to a question posted on Google+, the Motorola’s VP of Product Management, Punit Soni confirmed that the Moto X will be receiving the Android L update. However, the Motorola VP did not reveal on when exactly the device will be getting the taste of the eagerly awaited Android L.
The Moto X was released by Motorola during its brief ownership by Google, but it gets the same treatment like the Nexus lineup of devices. Well, the handset quickly receives Android updates and the same was the case with the Android 4.4 KitKat as well. Also, the device was responsible for one of the major turnarounds for Motorola.
Moreover, there is no official news regarding the roll out of Android L update to the Moto G that has also been selling like hot cakes, while there is no information regarding the same for Moto E. Anyways, the next iteration of Android will be arriving this fall and we will get to know the names of all those devices that will be receiving the update then.
