The Moto G released last year is still one of the hot favorites of the mid-range smartphone seekers, but the firm appears to be all set to unleash its successor. We have already come across the live images of the Moto G2 and here is a new one revealing the possible specifications of the device. In a recent development, a Motorola smartphone carrying the model number XT1063 has been spotted on GFXBench website.

The model number is speculated to be of the Moto G2. Talking about the specifications, the Moto G2 is likely to flaunt a 5-inch HD 720p display and equip a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core chipset that is clocked at 1.2GHz. This is claimed to be aided by 1GB of RAM and 8GB of native storage space that is presumably expandable via a micro SD card.

It is also claimed that the imaging department of the Moto G2 will be taken care of by an 8MP primary snapper paired with a 2MP front-facer that is better than the Moto G with a 5MP and a 1.3MP sensor combo at its rear and front.

The other aspects of the device such as connectivity appear to be the similar and we do not think the Moto G2 will be a great refresh to the G lineup.
