For many months, Samsung is
heavily gossiped to be working on a standalone smartwatch called Gear Solo. Now,
it appears like the wearable device is likely to go official in near future. According to a South Korean
report, the tech titan will be launching the Gear Solo smartwatch at the
pre-IFA event slated to happen on September 3 in Berlin .
As of the existing rumors, the
Samsung Gear Solo will come with in-built mobile connectivity ensuring direct
connection with the carrier without the necessity of a smartphone. Also, the
smartwatch can be used to make and receive calls, which is a welcome feature
for those users involved in outdoor activities as it eradicates the need to
carry the huge smartphones everywhere.
The other details regarding the
Gear Solo smartwatch remains unknown for now. There are speculations that
the standalone smartwatch will feature a heart rate monitor similar to the
Galaxy S5. If the report turns out
to be true, then the Gear Solo could be launched soon and we will get to know all
the details regarding it in sometime.
