Samsung had already confirmed that it will be hosting the UNPACKED 2014 event on the same day wherein the next generation phablet, the Galaxy Note 4 will be unveiled.

As of the existing rumors, the Samsung Gear Solo will come with in-built mobile connectivity ensuring direct connection with the carrier without the necessity of a smartphone. Also, the smartwatch can be used to make and receive calls, which is a welcome feature for those users involved in outdoor activities as it eradicates the need to carry the huge smartphones everywhere.

The other details regarding the Gear Solo smartwatch remains unknown for now. There are speculations that the standalone smartwatch will feature a heart rate monitor similar to the Galaxy S5. If the report turns out to be true, then the Gear Solo could be launched soon and we will get to know all the details regarding it in sometime.
