Xiaomi’s Global VP Hugo Barra has
stated in a reply to BGR India reader that the firm is in plans to release the
Redmi 1S and its accessories in India
in the coming weeks. He also made it clear that the specific release date will
be let out on by the end of this / next week.
Along with the Redmi 1S, Barra
revealed that the Redmi Note will be hitting the Indian stores before Diwali in
late-October, whereas Mi 4 and Mi Pad will be launched by the end of this year.
Furthermore, the executive confirmed that the accessories meant for Xiaomi Mi 3
will be made available in a couple of weeks.
He has also revealed that the Redmi Note model initially launching in India is the 3G version. In addition, Xiaomi won't be launching the 64GB variant of Mi 3 in the country, but will certainly do so for Mi 4.
