Ever since the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Alpha, Note 4 and Note Edge there are speculations that the maker will be coming up with more such metallic devices. Recently, it was revealed that the firm will be launching three new devices in the A-lineup of smartphones. Now, a new smartphone with the model number SM-A500 has been leaked tipping it could be one of the metallic phones in tow.
According to SamMobile's report, the SM-A500 smartphone will have a full metal body without a removable back cover. If this turns out to be true, the handset will not feature the faux leather back cover that the recent Samsung offerings have been sporting.
As far as the specifications are concerned, Samsung SM-A500 is reported to come with a 5-inch HD Super AMOLED display powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor and Android 4.4 KitKat operating system. Other features revealed include an 8MP primary snapper and a 5MP front-facing camera that can handle the photography department.
Storage wise, the handset is claimed to bundle an ample 16GB of default memory capacity along with provision for expandable storage support with a microSD slot. The phone will feature a hybrid slot in which both microSD card and nano SIM card can be inserted, says SamMobile. Also, the device will be using a 2,330 mAh battery along with Ultra Power Saving mode under its hood.
As it is speculated to be a mid-ranger, it would not be featuring a heart rate sensor, finger print scanner, water and dust resistant build. There is no word on when the smartphone will be launched, but expect it to happen in the coming months. Till then, stay tuned.
