Sony has officially launched a new mid-range Android smartphone in the Indian market recently. Dubbed as Sony Xperia E3 and Xperia E3 Dual, the smartphones were originally announced earlier this month at the IFA 2014 tradeshow. Sony Xperia E3 comes in black and white colour and is priced at Rs. 11,990, whereas the Dual -SIM variant E3 comes in black, white and lime colours and is priced at Rs. 12,990.
According to Sony, both these smartphones are now available across the country. The smartphones will be competing tough with the newly launched Moto G, Xiaomi Redmi 1S, Asus Zenfone 5 and more.
Talking about the specifications, Sony Xperia E3 comes with a 4.5-inch FWVGA display, 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 (MSM8226) processor, Adreno 305 GPU, 1GB RAM and Android 4.4 KitKat. The smartphone is 8.5mm thick and weights 144 grams, and has dual-SIM support (only in E3 Dual).
Other specifications include an 5MP rear camera with LED flash, 0.3MP (VGA) front facing camera, 4GB internal storage with expandable upto 32GB using microSD card and 2,330 mAh battery. Connectivity series include 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and A-GPS.
