HTC was rumored to announce a large screen HTC One (M8) called the One (M8) Max later this year in time for the holiday season. However, it appears like HTC has cancelled the launch of One (M8) Max and is focusing on the next generation HTC One smartphone, the HTC One (M9). A recent report reveals the possible specifications of the HTC One (M9) smartphone that could presumably be unveiled at the MWC 2015 in Barcelona.

HTC One (M8)

As per the report, the next generation flagship model will come fitted with a 5.2-inch display with a Quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels that would result in a striking pixel density of 564 pixels per inch. Undoubtedly, this display would be much sharper and clearer than the One (M8) that has 441 ppi pixel density.

The One (M9) is likely to incorporate a Snapdragon 805 SoC that could be paired with 3GB of RAM for superior multi-tasking and performance. Also, the report adds on that the device will arrive with 64GB of internal storage capacity that can be extended externally to 128GB with the help of a micro SD card.

It could not be surprising to see the smartphone run Android 5.0 Lollipop platform and boast of a larger battery, higher ranking IP certification and a better camera at its back than the One (M8).

Anyways, these are the first set of rumors we have seen regarding the One (M9) and we are yet to see more leaks before the smartphone will go official early next year.
