Micromax Canvas Xpress launched exclusively on Flipkart for Rs. 6,999

Micromax has officially launched a new budget-Android smartphone in the Indian market. Dubbed as Micromax Canvas Xpress, the smartphone comes with entry-level specifications and is a new addition in the company's Canvas series of smartphones. The Canvas Xpress comes in blue and silver colours and is priced at Rs. 6,999. The smartphone is exclusively available from online retailer Flipkart.

Micromax has stuffed the Canvas Xpress with loads of applications and software features which include BookMyShow, Clean Master, Games Club, Hike, MAD, Opera Mini, Reverie Phonebook & SmartPad, TrueCaller and Yatra, and HotKnot feature respectively. HotKnot feature helps in transferring data between devices by tapping the devices screen-to-screen or connecting the devices through touch to pair.

On the specifications front, Micromax Canvas Xpress comes with a 4.5-inch FWVGA IPS display, 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM and Android 4.4 KitKat. Other specifications include an 5MP rear camera with LED flash, 0.3MP (VGA) front facing camera, 8GB internal storage with microSD card support and 1,950 mAh battery. Connectivity series include 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.

In another news, Micromax has silently released a new variant of Canvas Nitro in the Indian market. The new Canvas Nitro A311 variant comes with 16GB of internal storage, versus 8GB present in the Canvas Nitro A310 variant. Apart from storage space, rest everything remains similar to Canvas Nitro A311.

Micromax Canvas Nitro A311 is now available from Flipkart for Rs. 13,144, which is slightly higher than the original Nitro A310, which is currently retailing for Rs. 12,650 online. To remind you, Micromax Canvas Nitro comes with a 5-inch HD IPS display, 1.7GHz Tru octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor, 700MHz Mali-450 GPU, 2GB RAM and Android 4.4.2 KitKat.

Other specifications include an 13MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, 5MP front facing camera, 16GB internal storage with expandable upto 32GB using microSD card and 2,500 mAh battery. Connectivity series include 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and A-GPS / GLONASS.
