LG officially announces LG G Stylo with mid-range specs and support for 2TB microSD cards

LG in a surprising move had officially announced a new mid-range Android smartphone in Korea last month. Called LG G Stylo, it is the latest smartphone in company's G series with built-in Stylus pen support. According to LG, the G Stylo is the successor of last year announced G3 Stylus smartphone. The smartphone comes in Titanium and White colors.

LG G Stylo will be available in Korea via South Korean telecom operator KT for 500,000 Korean Won, which is approx. Rs. 29,507 or $463 starting May 5th. LG plans to roll-out the G Stylo smartphone globally starting this month.

On the specifications front, LG G Stylo comes with a 5.7-inch HD IPS in-cell touch display, 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, Adreno 306 GPU, 1.5GB of RAM and Android 5.0 Lollipop with LG's UI on top. The smartphone measures 154.3 x 79.2 x 9.6 mm and weights 163 grams.

Other specifications include an 8MP rear camera with LED flash, 5MP front facing camera, 8GB internal storage with expandable up to 2TB using microSD card and 3,000 mAh battery. Connectivity series include 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and NFC support.

According to LG, the G Stylo has Q Memo Plus widget that lets you add memos immediately using the stylus pen from the home screen.
