Samsung announced the Galaxy A-series of smartphones last year with Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5, followed by the premium Galaxy A7. Now, the Samsung Galaxy A8 is leaking constantly showing the possible aspects of the device. A brochure of the Galaxy A8 has hit the web spilling beans on the specifications and features of the soon to be announced smartphone.
Going by the leaked brochure, the Galaxy A8 will boast of a 5.7-inch Full HD 1080p Super AMOLED display. It is alleged that the device in question will arrive in single SIM and dual SIM variants. The former is said to feature an Exynos 5430 octa core chipset while the latter might use a Snapdragon 615 chipset.
Both the variants of the Galaxy A8 are claimed to feature 2GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage space alongside expandable storage space with the help of a microSD card slot. The other aspects of the upcoming smartphone include a 3,050 mAh battery, 4G LTE (Cat. 6), VoLTE, DMB, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.
For imaging, the Galaxy A8 is touted to feature a new 16MP primary snapper accompanied by Real-Time HDR similar to the Galaxy S6, f/1.9 aperture and LED flash. Also, there appears to be a front facing 5MP selfie shooter.
The smartphone shown in the brochure seems to be in line with the one leaked previously. Design wise, the Galaxy A8 seems to be similar to the firm’s flagship device Galaxy S6 with metal frame and rounded corners. The Galaxy A8 is claimed to be the slimmest smartphone launched by the South Korean tech giant so far with a thin profile of 5.9 mm.
No details about its pricing or launch date is revealed in the brochure, but we will report as soon as we hear sometime regarding the same.
