LG is already done with the unveiling of LG G5, but the announcement gave us more than expected. Along with the G5 and its expansion modules, LG has also introduced a wide range of companion devices, aptly called LG Friends. Out of all the standalone gadgets, two of them which grabs the most attention are the LG 360 VR and LG 360 CAM.
The devices under LG Friends include - LG 360 VR, LG 360 CAM, LG Rolling Bot, LG Tone Platinum, H3 by B&O PLAY, LG Smart Controller and LG Friends Manager.
According to LG, the devices will be available sometime in April. There is no word on pricing details yet. Talking about each of them in detail:

LG 360 VR
The LG 360 VR is very different from that offered by HTC, Samsung, Google and other OEMs. Other VR devices require a smartphone to be inserted in the device, but the 360 VR comes with two displays, 1.88-inch 960 x 720 px each, that is powered via a dedicated USB Type-C cable connected to the G5. For now, the 360 VR is exclusive to G5.
Honestly, 360 VR has the most stylish VR headset design, and it is foldable so that users can easily carry and watch VR content anytime, anywhere. The LG 360 VR weighs only 118g and is just one-third as heavy as competing VR goggles and delivers a resolution of 639 ppi, which is like a simulation of 130-inch TV viewed from two meters away.
The device is compatible with 360-degree images and videos captured with LG 360 CAM as well as all Google Cardboard content.
LG 360 CAM
The LG 360 CAM is a compact 360-degree angle camera equipped with two 13MP 200-degree wide angle cameras. "The 360 CAM provides 2K video and 5.1 surround channel recording on three microphones to help users effortlessly create high-quality 360-degree contents," says LG. The device is powered by 1,200mAh battery and has 4GB internal memory, with microSD card support.
This compact 360-degree camera can be easily connected to any phone using Bluetooth connectivity and allow them create 360-degree content. All images taken with the 360 CAM can be uploaded to Google Street View and YouTube360.
LG Rolling Bot
The LG Rolling Bot is a companion device that rolls like a ball while capturing images and videos.
The Rolling Bot comes embedded with 8MP camera and can also be used as a monitoring system. The device can livestream everything that's happening in your home and also be a pet care companion as well as a remote controller for compatible home appliances.
It has an infra-red emitter, which can help you control different appliances like TV, sound systems, air conditioner, and more. The device also has an integrated loudspeaker and can be recharged via USB cable. There is no word on availability or pricing details yet.
