Motorola has officially announced the third-generation Moto E smartphone. Called Moto E3, the device display has been bumped from 4.5-inch found on Moto E 2nd Gen to 5-inch. The Moto E3 comes after Moto Z flagship series and Moto G4 series, all launched earlier this year. The device comes in black and white color options.
According to Motorola, Moto E3 will be initially launched in the UK and be available from Tesco, Amazon, Argos, O2 and other retailers starting early September. The E3 will be priced at £99, equivalent to US$132 / Rs. 8860.
On the design front, Moto E3 looks similar to the Moto G4, featuring the same textured back and oval-shaped camera module. The internal-hardware is equipped with splash-proof nano coating, like all other Moto smartphones.
As far as specifications are concerned, the device comes with a 5-inch HD IPS display with Quad-core processor of unknown make running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. For imaging, the device holds an 8MP rear camera with LED Flash and on the front we have an 5MP camera.
For daily use we get 2800mAh battery, which Motorola says last a day on normal usage. Connectivity series include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 LE and A-GPS. Motorola is yet to release detailed specification sheet.
