Vivo had launched the Vivo V5 in India back in November 2016 with 20MP front facing camera. Now, the company is gearing up to launch a new smartphone in V5 series dubbed as Vivo V5 Plus. During the launch of Vivo V5, Vivo announced that the upcoming V5 Plus will come with dual-front facing cameras.

Vivo has started sending out press invites to the Indian tech press media informing about the launch of Vivo V5 Plus in the country. The launch is scheduled for January 23rd.

As you can see the invite below, it reads Block Your Date, For the Biggest Selfie Camera Revolution with two different camera shutters above the text, hinting that the device will come with one primary camera for imaging and the other for depth filtering.

To remind you, V5 Plus won't be the first smartphone to come with dual-front cameras. Lenovo had launched Lenovo S1 with 8MP primary front camera and 2MP secondary front camera for depth of field analysis back in September 2015. This was followed by LG, by introducing LG V10 with dual 5MP front facing cameras.

Talking of Vivo V5 Plus, the smartphone is rumoured to come with 20MP primary front camera and 8MP secondary front camera paired with moonlight flash.

Dual cameras are soon becoming a trend and Vivo V5 Plus won't be an exception. We will learn more the about the device in coming days. Till then, stay tuned.
