Micromax Canvas Doodle 2 officially launched in India for Rs. 19,990, 5.7-inch HD display and quad-core processor

After getting spotted online for sale, Micromax has officially removed the wraps of from their next-generation Doodle series smartphone today. Dubbed as Micromax Canvas Doodle 2, the smartphone is said to be available throughout India starting today for Rs. 19,990 or less. Micromax has been teasing over this phone for quite long time. The smartphone is said to come in only one colour, white.

Micromax has been teasing the Canvas Doodle 2 on their Facebook page from long time and after so many leaks and rumours, the smartphone is now available for sale in India for Rs. 19,990. The pricing looks too high considering the specifications, but it may come down after the official announcement. Micromax Canvas Doodle 2 hold A240 as it's model number, and is now available for sale on Snapdeal.com, whereas Flipkart listing has been removed now.

According to some reports, Micromax is soon, somewhat around next week, will be announcing the next Canvas series smartphone with model number A240, higher than Canvas 4 carrying A210. Micromax A240 was leaked last month with rumours to arrive with octa-core CPU and Full HD display. But unfortunately, according to AndroidOS sources, the smartphone will come with mid-end specs. In addition, Micromax is teasing the upcoming Doodle 2 smartphone on their social media channels.

After successful introduction of Micromax Canvas 4, Micromax is planning to launch the next Micromax Canvas devices in Q4 2013, which probably will be the Micromax Canvas 5, or whatever it will be named in final. The device is rumoured to carry A240 as its model number and is expected to ship with some high-end specifications.
