According to a report published by Korean publication Daum, Samsung has already started working on Gear 2 and could be unveiled as soon as CES 2014 this January in Las Vegas or at MWC 2014 the next month.

The current generation Galaxy Gear comes with limited-functionality, low-battery backup and has a heavy price tag. Not only that, the Samsung Galaxy Gear can be paired only with two devices right now, the Galaxy Note 3 and the Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition).

As per Daum report, the next-generation Galaxy Gear will be compatible with all Android smartphones, and will be equipped with GPS capabilities to offer location data.

One official source reported Daum that, Galaxy Gear was released at a low level appeal due to the situation and speed time to announce, but the Galaxy Gear 2 will be reviewed carefully before launching.
