Sony cybershot lens style cameras DSC-QX10 and DSC-QX100 officially announced, up for pre-order on Amazon

It wasn't only Sony Xperia Z1 at IFA 2013 press conference today, but Sony has also announced the all new Sony DSC-QX10 and DSC-QX100 lens-style cameras. The Sony DSC-QX10 and DSC-QX100 are one of a kind camera lenses that act as Smartphone's own camera, with the former acting as the camera's viewfinder. Both these lens camera are already up for pre-order on Amazon by Sony itself. Sony has priced DSC-QX10 for $250, whereas DSC-QX100 can be grabbed for $500.

It wasn't only Sony Xperia Z1 at Sony's IFA 2013 press conference today, but Sony has also announced the all new Sony DSC-QX10 and DSC-QX100 lens-style cameras. The Sony DSC-QX10 and DSC-QX100 are one of a kind camera lenses that act as Smartphone's own camera, with the former acting as the camera's viewfinder. Both these lens camera are already up for pre-order on Amazon by Sony itself (links below). Sony has priced DSC-QX10 for $250, whereas DSC-QX100 can be grabbed for $500.

These are world's first interchangeable lenses for Android and iOS smartphones. These lens cameras are basically lenses with select camera features, which work with Android and iOS smartphones to provide high-end compact camera quality images without the need to carry the full camera.

Both the lens cameras can be easily connected using WiFi to smartphones, converting the phone's screen into a real-time viewfinder. Using Sony's PlayMemories Mobile app, users can release the shutter, start/stop movie recordings, and adjust common photographic settings like shooting mode, zoom, Auto Focus and more on these lens cameras.

Both of them support NFC connectivity for easy access. The DSC-QX10 and DSC-QX100 lens cameras can be easily handled anywhere, and can also be attached to any smartphones using mechanically adjustable adapter or even mounted to a tripod.

The Sony DSC-QX10 feature an 1/2.3" 18.2MP Exmor R CMOS sensor and can do 10x optical zoom with Steady Shot image stabilization. This lens camera comes with Sony G lens and f3.3 aperture. The QX10 is incredibly portable, weighing only 105 grams with 16GB of internal storage in it, with expandable 64GB using microSD card.

On the other hand, the Sony DSC-QX100 features a high-quality 1.0" 20.2MP Exmor R CMOS sensor, which is the same sensor find in the Cyber-shot RX100 II camera, which costs $750. The sensor has been combined with a wide-aperture Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T lens with 3.6X optical zoom and a powerful BIONZ image processor. The QX100 weighs only 179 grams and comes with 16GB internal storage with 64GB expandable memory via microSD card.
