After countless leaks and rumours, Sony has officially unveiled the Sony Xperia Z1 at IFA 2013 press conference today. The announcement revealed all those specifications which every one knows already, and there is nothing new to know more about the smartphone. Sony Xperia Z1 is the 2013 H2 flagship device of the company. The smartphone comes in White, Black and Purple colour options and is fully water and dust resistant with metallic frame.

After countless leaks and rumours, Sony has officially unveiled the Sony Xperia Z1 at IFA 2013 press conference today. The announcement revealed all those specifications which every one knows already, and there is nothing new to know more about the smartphone. Sony Xperia Z1 is the 2013 H2 flagship device of the company. The smartphone comes in White, Black and Purple colour options and is fully water and dust resistant with metallic frame.

The smartphone comes with an impressive 5.0-inch Full HD TFT Triluminos OptiContrast X-Reality for Mobiles display with Quad-Core Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.2GHz, Adreno 330 GPU, 2GB RAM, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, and single aluminium frame with tempered glass on the front and back. The Xperia Z1 is 8.5mm thick and weighs 170 grams. 

Other specifications include, 10 fingers multi-touch support, 16GB internal storage with 64GB microSD card expansion, 3,000 mAh battery, 4G LTE & 3G HSPA+ (depending on the market), WiFi 820.11 a/b/g/n/ac, WiFi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0 with APT-X, GPS/GLONASS, MHL and NFC support.

Sony has also included a 1/2.3-inch 20.7MP Sony G lens Exmor RS rear sensor with 8x digital zoom, dedicated camera shutter key, LED flash and mobile BIONZ image processing system along with 2MP Exmor R front facing camera. Both the cameras are capable of processing 1080p Full HD images and videos.

The two best features of Xperia Z1's camera is the Social Live feature, which helps broadcast the precious moment live on social media and Info-eye feature, which helps to gain information in an innovative way.

The smartphone is also water and dust resistant (IP55/IP58) and comes with range of camera applications including Social live, Info-eye, Timeshift (burst mode) - takes 61 images in 2 seconds before and after you press the shutter and the AR effecsts - act as a overlay a selection of fun, customizable animation using Sony's AR augmented reality tech.

The company has pre-loaded the smartphone with integrated PlayMemories Online app, a cloud-based image and video service, All-Sync feature that offers unlimited instant auto uploads.

According to Sony, the Xperia Z1 will go on sale globally from this month. In addition, Sony Germany has priced Xperia Z1 for €649, which is approx Rs. 60,000, whereas UK retailer Clove has listed Xperia Z1 for £564 (Rs. 59,000 approx). It also says stock is expected during the week commencing 16 September 2013.
