Samsung Galaxy S4 Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update now rolling-out in India

After releasing the Android 4.3 update for Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9500 first in Russia, the company has now started rolling the same update in India as well. The Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update is now live in India, and is available for download via Samsung PC software "Kies" and over-the-air (OTA). India is the second country in the world to get Android 4.3 update for GT-I9500 (Exynos variant).

After releasing the Android 4.3 update for Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9500 first in Russia, the company has now started rolling the same update in India as well. The Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update is now live in India, and is available for download via Samsung PC software "Kies" and over-the-air (OTA). India is the second country in the world to get Android 4.3 update for GT-I9500 (Exynos variant).

As the update is being rolled out in batches, it might take few hours/days to reach on your smartphone. You can manually check for the update on your device by going to Settings > More > About Device > Software Update > Update.

The update is 658.31MB in size, and if you are having any issue downloading the update, then wait for some time, or try downloading it using Kies. Make sure you have a speedy WiFi or 3G connection available, before forwarding to download the update.

The update will bring the following list of changes:
  • OS upgrade (Android 4.3)
  • Added new feature (Knox for consumer, etc.)
  • Compatibility with Galaxy Gear
  • Improved performance (Graphics, Multimedia, Bluetooth, etc.)
  • Improved user interface and stability
  • User interface adjustment (icon change etc.)
  • Security Enhancements
