LG has been always late in bringing software updates to its Android smartphone (even flagships), but it looks like things have changed a bit. LG Korea has officially announced that they will be rolling out the latest Android OS update, Android 4.4 KitKat, for LG G2 in Korea later this month. The update is reported to get rolled out before the end of this month, the dates aren't yet revealed.

LG G2

Not much details are known at this time, but since LG G2 was announced in August and Android 4.4 in November (actually October-end), it's great to see the Korean manufacturer release the update soon, before Samsung does for Galaxy S4, but only in South Korea for now.

The update has been only announced for South Korean LG G2's, hope LG reveals the 4.4 update plans for international G2 soon. LG G2 was launched with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and is skipping Android 4.3, and directly jumping to Android 4.4 KitKat.
