Google has quietly released a new Google Play Edition smartphone on Google Play today. Dubbed as Moto G Google Play Edition, this budget-friendly smartphone from Motorola is now available for purchase in the United States from Play Store for $179 for the 8GB version and $199 for the 16GB version.
The only difference between Moto G and the Moto G GPE is the presence of stock Android 4.4 KitKat on the GPE device. The smartphone is compatible with the HSPA+ bands of AT&T and T-Mobile in the United States, no LTE connectivity.
To remind you all, Moto G comes with a 4.5-inch HD display, 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, Adreno 305 GPU, 1GB RAM, Android 4.4 KitKat, 5MP rear camera with LED flash, 1.3MP front facing camera, 8GB/16GB fixed internal storage and 2,070 mAh battery. Connectivity series include, 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and GLONASS.
No word on international availability of Moto G Google Play Edition.
