Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet with 10.1-inch display, 3GB RAM, Snapdragon 801 processor, 6,000 mAh battery officially announced

Sony has also launched the Xperia Z2 Tablet at the MWC 2014 along with Xperia Z2, and the tablet will be going up against the likes of the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2. The tablet is just 6.4mm in terms of thickness and comes with a 10.1-inch Full HD WUXGA Live Color LED display. The tablet is water and dust proof like its smartphone siblings and is the world’s thinnest waterproof tablet.

Sony has also launched the Xperia Z2 Tablet at the MWC 2014 along with Xperia Z2, and the tablet will be going up against the likes of the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2. The tablet is just 6.4mm in terms of thickness and comes with a 10.1-inch Full HD WUXGA Live Color LED display. The tablet is water and dust proof like its smartphone siblings and is the world’s thinnest waterproof tablet.

It gets a quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.3GHz under the hood and it teams up with a 3GB RAM. At the back it gets an 8MP snapper and you get a 2.2MP camera up on the front. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat and will be made available in March this year.

It also gets the new S-Force Surround Sound setup along with the speakers getting placed up front. It gets digital noise cancelling for a special headset which Sony will be bundling up with it.

The tablet gets a 6,000 mAh battery under the hood.  It has LTE / 3G, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, MHL 3.0, GPS with GLONASS and NFC to ensure that you are connected at all times with the world. It will be available in black and white colours.

You can expect an Indian launch of the tablet around April first week at a price of around Rs 45,000-50,000 or more.
