When Oppo launched the N1 last year, it surely struck the chord of innovation by launching a device that had a never-before 13MP swivel camera. It was something so new that many were intrigued by it but the fact that it was flagship device yet had a Snapdragon 600 ticking inside it surely bogged down the device. But fret not, Oppo is gearing up to give the smartphone a sibling soon.
Oppo will soon launch a Mini version of the N1, as has been the case with a slew of devices these days. Oppo N1 gets a 5.9-inch screen which will be scaled down to 5-inches (won’t be really Mini) and will get the same design philosophy as the elder sibling. Powering it could be Mediatek’s Octa-Core processor or Samsung’s Exynos 5 Octa’s latest version. Either ways, it won’t disappoint in the performance department like other Minis.
The Oppo N1 Mini is expected to come in two guises: one with LTE and one without it. It will hit the Launchpad around May-June this year. Seeing the fact that the launch will be around May/June, it is expected to be announced officially in the next few weeks.
Oppo had launched the N1 for Rs 39,999 in India and it seemed way overpriced for what was on offer. Let us see how things pan out for the Mini sibling.
