Samsung Galaxy S5 Zoom specs leaked again, will feature a slimmer body, 20MP camera, 4.8-inch display
Samsung's Galaxy S5 is all set to go on sale and it will soon be joined in by a wave of smartphones in the coming year based around it. One of these will be the Galaxy S5 Zoom which has just had its specs leaked. The leak has come courtesy of a presentation where clicking pictures was not allowed, so you'll have to make do with some hand written notes instead.
The Galaxy S5 Zoom will come devoid of any protruding lens like its predecessor and will get a slimmer body instead. Samsung will be using some technology related to internal zoom to keep its size in check. It will get a 20MP CMOS sensor with optical image stabilization, 10x optical zoom and Xenon flash. The screen will be a 4.8-inches HD unit which is a big improvement over the Galaxy S4 Zoom.
It will run on 1.6GHz quad-core processor rather than Exynos 5 Hexa-core processor as mentioned previously. The cameraphone will have 2GB of RAM and the latest flavour of Android, Android 4.4 KitKat. The design wasn't disclosed but we are pretty sure it would look like something similar to the Galaxy S5. Samsung will be placing the zoom ring under the thumb rather than around the lens this time around as per the latest reports.
That's all we have on the Galaxy S5 Zoom for the time being and we can surely expect more information to come in as the launch date nears.
