Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 passes through FCC, Tab 4 8.0 and Tab 4 10.1 specifications confirmed by GFXBench listing

Details about Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 4 series of tablets had leaked last month and they were expected to be launched at the MWC 2014 but the same didn’t happen then. Now the details about the Tab 4 10.1 have skipped on to the interweb after it reached the FCC for certification and then its complete specs were uploaded on the GFX benchmark.

Details about Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 4 series of tablets had leaked last month and they were expected to be launched at the MWC 2014 but the same didn’t happen then. Now the details about the Tab 4 10.1 have skipped on to the interweb after it reached the FCC for certification and then its complete specs were uploaded on the GFX benchmark.

Joining the tablet will be a 7-inch as well as 8-inch tablet. The Tab 4 10.1 will have pretty odd screen size of 10.6-inches with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. It will run on a Snapdragon 400 chipset which will have a 1.2GHz quad core processor on board based on Cortex-A7 architecture. It will be complemented by an Adreno 305 GPU and a 1.5GB RAM which will take charge of multitasking.

At the back of the tablet will be 3MP camera and it will team up with a 1.2MP front camera which will be available for video calling and selfies. The internal storage of the tablet will stand at 16GB and 12GB will be user accessible. It will be treated to the latest flavour of Android, 4.4.2 KitKat.  Further probing into the GFX Benchmark has revealed that that there will be an 8-inch version as well with the same set of specifications, dubbed as Tab 4 8.0.

There has been no official announcement from Samsung regarding the Tab 4 series of tablets but seeing the fact that biggest sibling has passed the FCC certification, the remaining two should follow soon as well. Stay tuned to TechDroid for all the updates in the world of Android.
