Samsung Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo and Gear Fit launched in India, priced at Rs. 21,900 and Rs. 15,900

Along with the Galaxy S5, Samsung has also launched three new wearable devices in India, which were officially showcased last month at MWC. Dubbed as Samsung Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo, the devices runs on Samsung's own open-source OS Tizen. This is the reason why Samsung has ditched the Galaxy moniker, as it's no longer an Android device. Samsung has also launched the Samsung Gear Fit in India, which is a fitness band like something you have not seen before.

Samsung Gear 2 Neo

All the three devices will be available in India starting April 11th, along with Galaxy S5. The devices are compatible with more than dozens of Samsung Galaxy smartphones for the time being.

The Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo are essentially the same thing, only the Neo is a tad smaller and lighter, and has no camera. Rest all the specifications of Gear 2 Neo are similar to Gear 2. The smartwatches are IP67 certified i.e. water and dust resistant. They allows users to accept or ignore incoming calls and messages.

Samsung Gear Fit

On the other-hand, the Gear Fit gets a 1.84-inch Curved Super AMOLED display. The Gear Fit has a heart rate sensor built into it which somehow makes it a personal trainer which will vibrate every time the rate drops below than what you have set and will show a warning if you try to go a bit harsh on yourself.

It gets a stopwatch and a timer too which makes it the perfect fitness companion. It comes with IP67 certification which makes it water and dust resistant. The Gear Fit has standard 210 mAh battery, with typical usage of 3~4 days.

You can sync it with your smartphone via Bluetooth and will show all the notifications but you can't accept or make calls, however you can reject a call.
