LG has started rolling out the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for the LG G2 in India. The update was first rolled out in Korea in late-December 2013, then in the last week of February it was available for AT&T users, and then last week International variant of LG G2 got the KitKat update. Now the update is available in India as well.
The update is rolling out over-the-air and also via LG PC Suite application. The update weighs in at 534.84MB in size and brings numerous of changes. Since, the updates are rolled out in batches, it might take few hours or days to reach on your smartphone. You can manually check for the update by going to Settings > About Phone > Software Update.
The update brings faster performance, better battery life and enhanced Knock On feature. Usual KitKat goodies include immersive interface, camera improvements, cloud-print support and more. The most noticeable change is the change in status bar icons, from blue to pure white.
