HTC has still not confirmed the existence of the One (M8) Mini, the miniature variant of its flagship smartphone, but latest reports from Taiwan suggest that the smaller version will be out in May. A similar rumor popped up even last month as a UK source pointed out that the HTC One (M8) Mini will be announced sometime in May.

HTC One (M8)

While the flagship One (M8) arrives with a 5-inch Full HD display, its miniature variant is gossiped to feature a smaller 4.5-inch HD display. According to the rumors, the handset is claimed to include a 13MP rear camera instead of an UltraPixel snapper, 5MP front snapper and come powered by a 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. Also, it is said to pack 16GB of on-board storage with expandable using microSD card and run on Android 4.4.2 KitKat with Sense 6.0 UI.

Though HTC is struggling to compete with Apple and Samsung, the One (M8) has done a great job in reviving the company’s reputation and it has achieved good sales volume. Hence, HTC could be hoping to get the same kind of sales from its miniature model as well.

However, the firm has to concentrate on fixing a reasonable price tag for the One (M8) Mini.
