Leading U.S. carrier Sprint has announced the roll out of the Android 4.4.3 KitKat update for the Nexus 5 handsets starting from April 14. After the update, the handsets will be running on the KTU84F build that is a minor upgrade adding support to LTE bands 26 and 41 to the Nexus 5 along with some bug fixes and improvements.
Previous reports revealed that the search engine giant will be rolling out the Android 4.4.3 KitKat update for a lineup of Nexus devices in order to address a few issues such as the ones related to the camera. Lately, the Nexus 5 was spotted running on the Android 4.4.3 KUT72B build followed by Nexus 7 based on the Android 4.4.3 KTU83 build.
Sprint has let out minor official changes that include support for Misc Android updates and Sprint Spark band 26 and band 41, but the entire change-log remains to be unknown.
It is to be understood that the carrier will be rolling out the update to the Nexus 5 units in batches till April 21. The non-carrier Nexus 5 units are slated to receive the Android 4.4.3 KitKat update soon.
