The upcoming HTC smartphone based on the flagship model allegedly dubbed as HTC M8 Ace is speculated wildly, as the handset has appeared in multiple leaks. Last week, the press render of the same was leaked online flaunting its curved rear surface and now, more images of the handset have made their way online prior to the official launch of the handset scheduled to happen on June 3.

HTC One (M8) Ace

These images leaked by a Chinese websites ifanr and twhook, seem to be the official promo renders that show the primary features of the device.

As per these leaked images, the HTC One (M8) Ace resembles the Butterfly S and features a plastic uni-body build instead of metal. One notable change is the inclusion of a 13MP camera teamed up with LED flash ditching the dual-camera set up. Also on-board is a 5MP front-facing snapper as in the One Mini 2.

The images confirm the presence of a 5-inch display and dual front-facing speakers. Further, the One (M8) Ace is said to come equipped with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with 2.5GHz clock speed. The promo images do not forget to reveal the double tap to wake feature and Extreme Power Saving mode to handle power usage efficiently.

The M8 Ace is reported to come in four color variants – White, Black, Blue and Red and that the smartphone will cost just RMB 3,000 ($481). Also, ifanr notes that HTC might release the One M8 Ace in China as HTC One M8 Vogue Edition.

In a different report, 9to5Google is reporting that HTC is busy prepping two new variants of the flagship One (M8). Dubbed as HTC One (M8) Plus and One (M8) Advance, the smartphones could join the One family sometime in the August or September.

According to the report, the One (M8) Plus will come with a Quad HD display, similar to the LG G3 and will run on Snapdragon 805 processor with 3GB of RAM. The smartphone is said to come with an 13MP rear camera, instead of the 4MP UltraPixel one found on the original M8. This differentiates the M8 Plus with the M8 Prime leaked by @evleaks few days ago, which is rumoured to come with similar set of specifications. The M8 Plus is also said to be waterproof.

Coming to HTC One (M8) Advance, the smartphone is said to be similar to the M8 Plus. It will come with similar M8 Plus-like specs but will feature a plastic body, instead of metal. According to 9to5Google, both the Plus and Advance will launch at the same time, but the M8 Advance will be targeted at Asian markets only.

There is no word on pricing or other details yet. Its better to take the whole news with a pinch of salt as nothing is confirmed. Also, it should be noted that Plus and Advance are just the codenames, and are not the finalized titles.
