Nokia X2 with 4.3-inch display, Snapdragon 200 processor, Nokia X Platform 2.0 officially announced

After getting leaked online numerous of times, Nokia on Tuesday officially took the wraps of the next generation Nokia X smartphone. Dubbed as Nokia X2, the smartphone comes with improved hardware and software. Nokia X2 comes in various colour options which include glossy green, orange, black, yellow, white and matt dark grey. Nokia has priced the Nokia X2 at 99 Euros.

The smartphone is now available in select countries, with no word on India launch yet. Talking about the looks, the Nokia X2 looks somewhat similar to original Nokia X but has a bigger display, front camera, led flash and more. The smartphone finally comes with a home button, which was missing from the original X, along with a back button, which can be used either as a back button or a multi-tasking button.

Similar to Nokia X, the Nokia X2 also runs on AOSP (Android Open Source Program) build of Android, with Microsoft's Could Services, not Google's. But this time around the Nokia X platform is based on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. On the software front, the X2 has double tap to wake up, updated launcher, updated fastlane and more.

On the specifications front, the Nokia X2 comes with a 4.3-inch WVGA ClearBack display with resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor, Adreno 302 GPU, 1GB RAM and AOSP build of Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with Nokia X software platform 2.0 on top. The smartphone is 11.1 mm thick an weights 150 grams.

Other specifications include dual-SIM support, a 5MP rear camera with LED flash, 0.3MP (VGA) front facing camera, 4GB internal storage with expandable up to 32GB using microSD card and 1,800 mAh battery. Connectivity series include 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.
