After Samsung announced the Galaxy S5 LTE-A in South Korea last month, LG has now came up with the prime variant of G3 called LG G3 Cat.6. Similar to Galaxy S5 LTE-A, the LG G3 Cat.6 comes with upgraded processor and faster connectivity. The G3 Cat.6 comes in three colours including Metallic Black, Silk White and Gold Shine and will go on sale in the country starting July 25th. No word on pricing details yet. The smartphone is exclusive to South Korea.
The LG G3 Cat.6 comes with quad-core Qualcomm's Snapdragon 805 processor clocked at up to 2.7GHz with Adreno 420 GPU and LTE-A connectivity support which support speed up to 225Mbps using Qualcomm Gobi 9×35 LTE-A Category 6 modem.
Other specifications of G3 Cat.6 remains similar as original G3 which include 5.5-inch Quad HD IPS display, 3GB RAM, Android 4.4.2 KitKat, 13MP rear camera with LED flash, Laser Auto Focus and OIS+, 2.1MP front facing camera, 32GB internal storage with up to 128GB supported microSD card and 3,000 mAh battery.
Connectivity series include 4G LTE-A, Bluetooth 4.0 with APT-X, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, USB 2.0, NFC, HDMI via Slim Port, DLNA, WiFi Direct and A-GPS/GLONASS.
