Earlier this year, LG announced
the LG G Watch as its first Android Wear based smartwatch. Within months
after the launch of the G Watch, there were speculations
that the firm will be coming up with the second generation model with a round
dial to compete with Moto 360. This new smartwatch that has been
making rounds in the tech news for quite sometime is the LG G Watch R and it is
all set to be launched at the IFA 2014 in Berlin .
Well, the LG G Watch R is teased by the Mobile Global YouTube channel of LG. The half a minute
video footage does not reveal any specifications of the smartwatch other than
revealing the circular frame, side mounted button and watch faces. Even the
sensors such as step counter, distance meter and compass are featured on the
smartwatch.
Going by the previous reports,
the LG G Watch R will be features a Super AMOLED display panel that can
conserve the battery life and provide enhanced contrast. As per the teaser, the G Watch R will use the entire screen display unlike Moto 360, which has a black bar at the bottom of the display.
