New Moto G with 5-inch display, 8MP camera launched in India, now available from Flipkart for Rs. 12,999
After announcing the next generation Moto G smartphone on Friday, Motorola simultaneously launched the same in the Indian market. The company has launched the dual-SIM variant of the new Moto G in the country. Motorola won't be selling the single-SIM variant in the Indian market. The smartphone comes in black and white colours and is priced at Rs. 12,999 for the 16GB variant, no 8GB version.
Flipkart is offering the new Moto G will loads of launch days offers which include Flat 70% off on 1-year subscription of any digital magazine from the India Today Group , Free preselected Flipkart eBooks worth Rs 1000, 35% off on shopping via the Myntra app, Discounts worth Rs. 6000 on shopping via Flipkart and 50% off on Moto G (2nd gen) cases and covers. Flipkart is also offering 100% cashback to 100 customers via lucky draw.
The cases and covers of the new smartphone will be available starting September 15th on Flipkart. Motorola has priced the new Moto G Flip Cover at Rs. 1,700 and the back cover at Rs. 800. Colours include Cherry, Violet, Turquoise, Licorice, Chaulk, Lemon Lime and Royal Blue (no Flip Cover).
On the specifications front, the new Moto G comes with a 5-inch HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection and water resistant coating both on outside and inside, 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, Adreno 305 GPU, 1GB RAM and Android 4.4.4 KitKat (almost-stock), with promised Android L update.
The smartphone is 10.99mm thick and weights 149 grams. Other specifications include an 8MP rear camera with LED flash, 2MP front facing camera, 8GB / 16GB internal storage with microSD card support and 2,070 mAh battery. Connectivity series include 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 LE and GPS. Like Moto E, the new Moto G also comes with front facing speakers.
