Along with Google Nexus 6, Google has also listed the next-generation Nexus tablet on the Google Play Store in India. Dubbed as Nexus 9, the tablet is manufactured in partnership with HTC. The Nexus 9 was listed on the India Play Store soon after its official announcement last month. According to the listing, Google will be releasing the 16GB WiFi and 32GB LTE versions of Nexus 9 in the country.
Google has priced the 16GB WiFi only version of Nexus 9 at Rs. 28,900. On the other hand, the 32GB WiFi + LTE version is priced at Rs. 44,900. There is no word on whether company plans to launch the 32GB WiFi only variant in India. Google Nexus 9 comes in White, Black and Sand colour options, however only the black version is listed online.
Similar to Nexus 6, the Nexus 9 is also listed as coming soon on Google Play. According to India Today, the HTC-made Nexus 9 tablet will be available in the country starting November 12th. Google has also listed the Nexus 9 Cover on the India Play Store as coming soon, and is priced at Rs. 2,900. The cover comes in three colours including Black, Lime Stone and Mint Indigo.
On the specifications front, Google Nexus 9 comes with a 8.9-inch IPS LCD QXGA display with 2048 x 1536 pixel resolution, Gorilla Glass 3 protection and double tap to wake-up feature, 64-bit NVIDIA Tegra K1 Dual Denver processor at 2.3GHz, 192-core Kepler GPU, 2GB RAM and Android 5.0 Lollipop. The tablet measures 153.68 x 228.25 x 7.95 mm and weights 425 grams (WiFi) / 436 grams (WiFi+LTE).
Other specifications include an 8MP rear camera with LED flash, 1.6MP front facing camera, 16GB / 32GB internal storage and 6,700 mAh battery. Connectivity series include 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac 2x2 (MIMO), Bluetooth 4.1, NFC and GPS.
