Moto Maxx with 5.2-inch Quad HD display, Snapdragon 805 SoC, 3,900 mAh battery announced

As expected, Motorola on Wednesday officially took the wraps off the international variant of the Motorola Droid Turbo at an press event in Brazil. The smartphone is dubbed as Moto Maxx and packs identical specifications to the Droid Turbo. The Moto Maxx is now available in Brazil for 2,199 reais, which translates to US$858.

As expected, Motorola on Wednesday officially took the wraps off the international variant of the Motorola Droid Turbo at an press event in Brazil. The smartphone is dubbed as Moto Maxx and packs identical specifications to the Droid Turbo. The Moto Maxx is now available in Brazil for 2,199 reais, which translates to US$858.

According to Motorola, the Moto Maxx will be available in Mexico starting mid-November, which will be followed by Latin American countries. There is no word on other countries launch details yet. 

On the specifications front, the Moto Maxx comes with a 5.2-inch Quad HD AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, 2.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, Adreno 420 GPU, 3GB RAM and Android 4.4.4 KitKat.

The Moto Maxx boasts of a 21MP primary snapper with dual LED flash and 4K video recording capability, along with a 2MP front-facing camera for video conferencing and clicking selfies, 64GB internal storage support and mammoth 3,900 mAh battery, that is rated to deliver up to 48 hours of backup to the smartphone.

Connectivity features include 4G LTE / 3G, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, GPS with GLONASS and NFC support. The phone also comes with turbo charging feature and wireless charging support.
