For quite sometime we have been hearing about the alleged HTC One (M9), the successor of the firm’s current flagship smartphone, One (M8). But, it appears like the Taiwanese tech giant will not be following this naming scheme for its next flagship model. According to a series of tweets by Twitter user @upleaks, new details about the HTC flagship model for 2015 have been leaked suggesting new details.
In a tweet, the tipster claims that the handset will be available via all the major US carriers and is currently in testing at carrier lab. Another tweet revealed that the handset is codenamed HTC Hima and will be going official sometime in March 2015.
When it comes to specifications, the HTC Hima is likely to arrive with a 5-inch Full HD 1080p display and employ a 64-bit Snapdragon 810 chipset housing an octa core processor, Adreno 430 graphics engine and 3GB of RAM. The device is said to boast of a 20.7MP primary snapper and a 13MP or a 4MP UltraPixel front facer for video conferencing and clicking gorgeous self portrait shots.
Otherwise, the Hima is said to come with LTE Cat.6 connectivity and get energized by a 2,840 mAh battery. The device is claimed run on Android 5.0 Lollipop topped with Sense 7.0 UI.
It also claimed that the vendor would launch some Desire models at MWC 2015 including the affordable variant of the flagship smartphone called HTC Hima Ace similar to the One (E8). This phone would be launched in China and come with dual SIM support.
