As all the high end devices from Samsung are already official, the gossip mongers have diverted their focus towards the upcoming models. Well, we mean Project Zero, the codename for the next Galaxy S flagship smartphone that is likely to go official in early 2015. A recent SamMobile report claims that the next model in the lineup will be dubbed as Samsung Galaxy S6 and it is said that the flagship will also be accompanied by the Galaxy S6 Edge with a curved display.
However, the publication notes that there could be a name change for the device in the coming months, though a possibility for the same is less. While the report claims that they do not have much information regarding the Galaxy S6 Edge, they believe that it will arrive with a display that is bent on one side as the Galaxy Note Edge.
Notably, it is already claimed that the South Korean tech giant is focusing on the curved display market segment to stand up against the competition. But, it is possible that the curved display models will be released only in limited quantity as such handsets are yet to gain consumer traction.
Going by the previous rumors, the Galaxy S6 is claimed to be developed from the scratch and it is likely to include a Quad HD 1440p display of unspecified size and incorporate a 64-bit octa core Exynos 7420 chipset or a 64-bit Snapdragon 810 processor deepening on the region. It is also said to use a 16MP or 20MP Sony IMX240 primary camera and a 5MP front facer.
