LG has officially launched the second generation G Flex smartphone in the Indian market recently. Dubbed as LG G Flex 2, the smartphone was originally announced back in January at the CES 2015 tech show. The G Flex 2 comes with better curve and specifications than the original G Flex, making it worth the price.
LG G Flex 2 comes in two color options Platinum Silver and Flamenco Red colors. LG has priced the G Flex 2 in India at Rs. 54,990. The smartphone is now available across the country from major brick and mortar stores and online retailers.
Similar to the original G Flex, the G Flex 2 also carries the unique “Self Healing” back cover, which is now faster and more effective than before, healing the scratches in just about 10 seconds at room temperature, against three minutes on the original G Flex.
LG has stuffed the G Flex 2 with loads of unique software features optimized for its curved form factor: Gesture Shot, Gesture View and GlanceView. GlanceView displays key information such as time, recent messages or missed calls with a downward swipe of the curved screen even while the display is off.
As far as specifications are concerned, LG G Flex 2 comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD Curved P-OLED display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection, 2GHz octa-core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, Adreno 430 GPU, 2GB RAM and Android 5.0 Lollipop. The smartphone measures 149.1 x 75.3 x 7.1-9.4 mm and weights 152 grams.
Other specifications include an 13MP rear camera with dual-true tone LED flash, OIS+ and laser auto focus, 2.1MP front facing camera, 16GB internal storage with expandable up to 2TB and 3,000 mAh battery with support for fast charge (charging the phone up to 50% in just 40 minutes).
Connectivity series include 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth Smart Ready (Apt-X) 4.1, NFC, SlimPort, A-GPS / Glonass and USB 2.0
