LG has started rolling out Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for LG G Flex in South Korea. The update is currently rolling out on all three telecom operators in Korea, including SKT, KT and LG U+. LG G Flex was originally announced with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, and this is the first major update for the smartphone. No word on when other countries will receive the update.

At the Mobile World Congress 2014 last month, LG stated that the Knock Code will be a key characteristic in future LG devices. Now LG is all set to update a slew of its devices with the same. The Knock Code feature will be made available via a means of a firmware update beginning in April. LG G2 and G Flex will be the first devices to get the Knock Code support.

LG G Flex has just gone on sale in India for a whopping Rs. 69,999 and many customers complained that despite being a top end device it ran on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. But it is about to get the Android 4.4 KitKat update and will get a slew of features with it. The chief one out of them will be the ability to record 4K videos just like the LG G Pro 2.

Last month we reported that LG G Flex will be available in India for Rs. 69,999, and today the company has listed the smartphone on its official website. The smartphone is priced at Rs. 69,999, and is expected to go on sale soon. LG showcased the G Flex in India last year in December at an press event, where the company announced that the smartphone will go on sale in India sometime in February 2014.

LG announced its first curved display smartphone, the LG G Flex in India in December 2013, where the company announced that the smartphone will go on sale in India sometime in February 2014, with no hint on pricing. But according to Mumbai-based retailer Mahesh Telecom, the LG G Flex will be available in India in the next couple of days for Rs. 66,900.

As reported, LG has officially showcased the LG G Flex in India today at an press event in New Delhi. LG G Flex is the company's first smartphone with curved OLED display and is also the first curved-screen smartphone to be introduced in India. According to LG, the smartphone will go on sale in India sometime in February 2014, pricing is not yet disclosed, but we are assuming it to be around Rs. 60,000.

The global roll-out of LG G Flex has just started, and looks like India launch of the smartphone is not too far. LG India has started sending out press invites to the Indian tech press media for attending the launch event in New Delhi on December 11th. LG G Flex was originally announced back in October and it recently went on pre-order in Singapore.

After officially announcing LG G Flex in October, LG has now officially announced that they are starting the global roll-out of G Flex starting this month, as early as next week. According to LG, the smartphone will initially be available in key Asian markets followed by other regions around the world. The G Flex will be first released in Singapore and Hong Kong, and then in other key Asian markets.

Update: LG has officially revealed the price of LG G Flex today. As per the pre-release issued by LG, the G Flex will be sold in South Korea from November 12th on all three major telecom operators for 999,990 won, which is approx $941 and Rs. 58,790.
LG has also announced that the smartphone will be exclusively launched in France on Orange France (telecom operator) next month. More details are yet to arrive.

After loads of leaks and rumours, LG has officially announced its much-awaited curved display smartphone, the LG G Flex in South Korea today. LG tags G Flex as the World's First "REAL" curved smartphone. According to LG's press release, the smartphone will land on all three major carriers in it's homeland, next month, where the phone will face tough competition with Samsung Galaxy Round. The LG G Flex is back in news, this time with confirmed specifications. LG G Flex is LG's first smartphone to feature curved bendable and unbreakable display, and is reported to be announced officially next month. Last week we saw the first press renders of LG G Flex, which confirmed the device to come with back-buttons and G2 like design, now the same device has appeared in a hands-on video and couple of live images. LG Display has officially announced that they have started the mass production of it's first flexible OLED display for smartphones. This display could be used in LG's upcoming smartphone, LG G Flex or say LG Z. In addition to the news, company's battery hand, LG Chem, has revealed that they are breaking away from rectangular batteries, and have announced the next generation of batteries, which they will be using in the next line of LG phones. The company has unveiled the stepped, curved and cable batteries today.

Back in April, we reported that LG is working on a flexible display smartphone, which they have planned for year end release. The report now looks real, as LG is soon going to launch a new smartphone with curved screen, reports CNET & Wall Street Journal (WSJ). According to both the publications, the phone will be dubbed as LG G Flex, and will be launched officially sometime in November.
