Sony officially announces its next selfie smartphone, the Xperia C4 with 5MP front shooter
Sony earlier this week officially took the wraps off its next selfie smartphone called as Sony Xperia C4. The Xperia C4, as the name suggests is the successor of the Xperia C3, which was launched last year. According to Sony, the Xperia C4 will be released in both single SIM and dual-SIM variants and will be available in black, white and mint color options.
Sony notes that both the Xperia C4 and C4 Dual will be available in 'select markets' across the world from the beginning of June 2015. There is no word on pricing details yet.
On the specifications front, the Xperia C4 comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display with 401 PPI pixel density, 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6752 processor, Mali 760-MP2 GPU, 2GB RAM and Android 5.0 Lollipop with Xperia UI on top. The smartphone measures 150.3 x 77.4 x 7.9 mm and weighs 147 grams.
Other specifications include a 13MP rear camera with LED flash, a 5MP front-facing camera with 25mm wide-angle lens, 16GB internal storage with expandable up to 128GB using microSD card and 2,600 mAh battery. Connectivity series include 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and NFC support.
