Chinese smartphone manufacturer Huawei has officially announced the launch of the successor to Honor 4C in India. Called Honor 5C, the smartphone is a new addition in the company's budget-friendly Honor sub-brand and comes with mid-range specs. Huawei has priced the Honor 5C in India at Rs. 10,999.
The Honor 5C comes in three color options: Gold, Grey and Silver, and will be available exclusively from Flipkart and company's proprietary Honor store starting June 30th via flash sale. Registrations for the same are already live on both the sites.
Talking about the design of the smartphone, Honor 5C is packed in a metal body, made of aircraft-grade aluminum alloy, and has brushed metal finish. The device is equipped with a fingerprint scanner on the rear, just below the camera, which Huawei says is fast enough to unlock the 5C in 0.5 seconds.
On the specifications front, Honor 5C comes with a 5.2-inch Full HD IPS display with 423PPI pixel density and 74% screen-to-body ratio, Octa-Core Huawei's Kirin 650 16nm processor with Mali-T830 GPU, 2GB RAM and Huawei EMUI 4.1 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Additional specs include a 13MP rear camera with LED Flash, f/2.0 aperture and 5P lens, an 8MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture, 4P lens and 77-degree wide-angle lens, 16GB of internal storage with expandable up to 128GB with micro SD and 3,000mAh battery.
Connectivity-wise, the Honor 5C comes with dual-SIM support (hybrid setup), 4G LTE with VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 LE and A-GPS + GLONASS.
